The council has decided to press ahead with plans to introduce a Residents’ Parking Zone for Sion Hill and Summerhill Road. The proposed scheme would operate from 8am to 6pm, 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays. Full details are published on the council’s website.
A further consultation event is being held on Thursday 13th October, 4pm-8pm, at Bath Spa University. You can also respond to the consultation online. This closes on 20th October.
This is a very contentious issue locally and the council’s initial consultation showed only limited support in our area. We would strongly encourage all residents to participate in this final consultation before a final decision is taken in October. The zone could be introduced as soon as November.
